RV water pump- elect vs manual

I've got a FWC and a 30' fifth wheel. The water pump on my FWC went out. I tried to rebuild it, but either my rebuild skills or the pump must be FUBAR, since it now sprays water from the pump. I don't need the water pump for much- mostly washing my hands and washing dishes in the small sink.

I'm thinking of going two different routes:
1. pull the noisy pump from my fifth wheel and put it in the FWC, then get a super quiet one for the fifth wheel
2. replacing the FWC pump with either a manual or another 12v pump. The benefit of the manual is that it opens up a lot more storage room under the kitchen sink, where the 12v pump is now.

I've never used a manual water pump. Does it work ok, or is it a PITA to pump and wash hands/dishes?

If I go the electric route, what have you guys and gals found that works well and is priced well? All the pumps I see on Amazon have mixed reviews.

Hand pumps usually require washing/rinsing one hand at a time. In my Phoenix camper, clearances for installation, and pump handle as well would be a problem, and of course the current faucet gets replaced as part of the install.

I bought a 3 way low boy pump from amazon to put in my Phoenix camper when I installed a sink. Works good. I usually use the electric pump but nice to have the manual pump in case the electric pump dies or you want to pump water quietly. don't use the city water option.

If you don’t want an electric or a hand pump, Whale makes foot pumps that let you be hands free. The smaller pumps are a bit slow, but they work.

I bought a 3 way low boy pump from amazon to put in my Phoenix camper when I installed a sink. Works good. I usually use the electric pump but nice to have the manual pump in case the electric pump dies or you want to pump water quietly. don't use the city water option.

It's interesting to read through the Installation and Operations instructions for those Leisure Components hand pumps/water fixtures.

We see model numbers, the difference between standard and low-boy versions, differences of three-way and two-way versions, a cut-out template, hook-up diagrams, and repair kit number. When the three-way is used with an electric pump, the pump shown is the Shurflo 120-1. I think I see a version of that pump (or replacement for it) on Pump Vendor dot com website with parts list and data sheet details. Anyone considering it may want to talk to Leisure Components to be sure.

Moving the lever back and forth pumps from the onboard tank but I don't believe it pumps in both directions of the lever movement. To draw water via the electric pump, put the lever up and hold to close the electrical contacts to energize the Shurflo pump. To draw city water (when the camper's connected to it), push the lever down and hold to open the city-water valve. I don't believe it locks down for hands-free use.

The white lanyard-looking thing is the wire for the Shurflo pump. Note that instructions tell you to cut it to make the pump connections. The instructions appear to show the pump has terminals but that may not be the case with the current version of the pump.

Just posted a comment to Tim Morrissey’s YouTube video on his water setup. He says it’s not too big of a deal having the hand pump. I’ll probably do that to avoid the project getting out of control. I think the foot pump or 3-way would be awesome. Didn’t realize that the 3-way didn’t include a pump though.
