After six full decades residing in California, Ms.Tuff Chick and I have decided to pull up our tent stakes and join the over 173,000 others who departed the state over past 12-months. For us, the promise and luster of the "Golden State" has greatly diminished.

We've decided to head east, towards the glimmering beauty of the rising sun, beginning the next chapter in our life's adventure in the exploration of ancient lands.

Though bittersweet as it may be for us, it's sayonara California.
