Ok, I had my "vinyl" replaced a few years ago now (2001 Eagle) and only once or twice has it rained so hard that water actually came in through the stiching holes near the windows. My new vinyl has a velcro piece that you attched when the weather is really bad and in both times I was either too late to put it on, or in bed and lazy.
So... got to thinking about seam sealers.
I don't like the look of the seam sealers you use on boots, tents, etc. although some are more "invsisible" than others. I was thinking of using some type of seam tape. You'll see the tape but at least it'll look professional (if I do it right). I'd have to take a closer look to see if I could do it on the outside of the vinyl but I think it'd be better on the inside and the holes might be from the stitching of the Velcro so I couldn't seam seal it from that side.
Anyone have any experience and what did you use?
