I am setting up the truck bed tie downs for a Keystone. I don't have the camper here, I am getting it out of state. Are there any mesurments as to where to drill in the bed and place the eye bolts? Do I need to use a large support brackets (washers) under the bed so the eyebolds won't come through?

Also I have a 2002 Ford F-350 I'm thinking I will have to fir-up the truck bed floor. I was going to use pressure treated 2x4's, which would make it 3 1/2" taller. Sound like a good plan?

For the fronts I was told go 3" back from the front of the bed and 3" from the sides, there abouts. For the rears I was told to put the bolts in the range of straight down from the eye bolts to about 3" back from them (I went back a bit). Either get the guy to measure how far back from the front of the camper the eye bolts are or just pop them in when you get there. I had to move mine because they were a tad too far back and the camper was hitting them (measure that too before drilling). Yeah you want some large washers or a metal plate to sandwich the bed. I think some folks use fender washers but I used 2" square washers that are 1/4" thick. Eyebolts are 3/8" dia bolts with a 3/4"-1" dia hole.

If you've confirmed how much you need to raise it and 3.5" is what you need then I'd thick some pressure treated 2x4's making up a frame should be fine.

I'd just take my charged drill and a spare battery. No surprises when you get there...

3x3 steel, sandwich the bed.
