September trip to Yellowstone/Tetons via the winding road

I am finally beginning to document our last 2 trips wandering the west. I mean, we really wander. Hopefully, our travels may encourage you to get out and check out where we have been. Our September trip found me a bit lazy and hazy on details as I did not write notes except for scrawls in the margins of our Benchmark maps and some arrows indicating travel direction. I had thought that the iPhone photos would be good enough to jog my memory. Lesson learned as we covered lots of territory and sometimes one sagebrush landscape seems eerily like all the others.

Craig, I have tried to build a Google map but had trouble trying to map our often off road travel. Do you know of a better way to map our travels? i would love to have an iPhone app that would keep a running tab on our route and the ability to add photos and comments. I will give it another try when I am done with the blogs.
