Made a quick weekend getaway to do some snow shoeing. There was three feet of snow in Washoe Valley when we were there a month ago. So with the epic snow we have had since then, I figured we could go back and do some snow shoing. I was so wrong. Everything had melted and was dry. So we stopped at Donner State Park to play in the snow on the way home. DLN spotted the camper with the WTW sticker and introduced himself. Nice to meet you and Linda, DLN. Good to put another face with a fellow WTW member. Hope we get a chance to camp with you one of these days and check out your Casita. Happy trails.

Hey Ted, we were in Truckee today giving my mom the norcal tour. Gorgeous day up on the summit.

I wonder, where can one obtain a bonafide WTW sticker to identify oneself to kindred souls?

Hi Lighthawk,

Wow, that would have been funny if we met you in Truckee, too. Maybe we should have a Truckee Rally?

Anyway, there are two ways to get stickers. The best way is to show up at a rally that DD will be at and he will give you one. But if you don't want to wait for him to get his new camper finished, you can send him a couple of bucks and he'll send one to you. You can read about it in the sticker thread on the Member's Only section.

Thanks for the link, Ted. Truckee rally could be cool. I've been interested in exploring the Meadow Lake area, north of Truckee, but it will be a long time until the snow clears.

Ted,

It was great seeing you two out on the road, just wish we'd had more time to shoot the s%%t but we were late meeting my wife's sister at Sugar Bowl, maybe next time. I'm wondering if I should share the details of why we were able to catch up with you on Donner Pass Road, something about a missed turn I think. Anyway our encounter has brought up the advantages of having a WTW sticker on the truck/camper/ and in our case the trailer if DD will grant us that privilege. All the Best.

It is true we were turning around because we missed our turn when you caught up to us. However, for the record, I would like to point out that Magellan was not driving. :D
