Howdy

We need to visit aging family in the St Louis area next month and hope to see some Fall foliage at the same time.....

Any imaginative insights on small RV rental for say a week ?

We thought of driving from Oregon but the night time temps thru the higher elevations are of some concern.

Toying with just flying out for a week.

Dave one of the major RV rental co.CruiseAmerica have a "small" motorhome available.Finding them is another thing.
The motorhome looks like about maybe 19' long.
I have seen the motorhome around but when you search the company they seem to be hard to rent.

They have a 6.5 high interior.
Good luck.

Thanks Frank

We have used Cruise Americas smallest RV for a family gathering....worked well.

Don't know where in the mid west you are headed, but I don't think the smallest units are always available.
I did a search in Nebraska. Omaha came up ,seemed to be the only place to rent but no small units.
Just some quick thoughts. You will have better knowledge though.

Do you really recommend Cruise America? In my opinion this is the worst RV-Rental-company of America. Ok, if you are lucky and get a new RV it would work. But most of their RV's are older ones, they hold their RV's longer as every reliable rental-company. And if you get some problems, they will not help you. They only tell you: go to the next garage. But do you know, where it is? We had a case where the brakes didn't work, and the renter also got this answer. So how will you drive to a garage with not working brakes? Maybe you know TA-Forums? There is a thread running for over 8 years know, with almost thausend complains about this company.
I never would rent with them, sorry to say.
