Do not visit WTW as much now, but felt lucky/jazzed to happen upon Rando’s post about Renogy online clearance. What a great buy. Posted on the thread about a BT option & got a needed reply. Not quite ready, I rushed out to finish a critical drip irrigation retrofit project. Left the order in the cart, but remembered & checked after dinner. They were clean out of everything Renogy. I really missed out. Bummed, I researched everywhere to find any pricing/quality that might be equivalent. All the value stuff I found had noted issues IMO. I was depressed & calling it a night, then came across reBel Batteries, a veteran-owned small business (VOS:cool: ..... https://rebelbatteries.com/about-us/
Here is general site ..... https://rebelbatteries.com/
I was intrigued as the pricing was similar to the Renogy close out. Internal BT is included so no need to purchase one separately. I looked on YouTube, found a few videos, and was impressed. Caution ... I am not as knowledgeable as many electrical guys on WTW, but did start with LFP4 early on.
I found a telephone number, & got a call back pretty quickly, very straight forward guy. I learned more than I knew about internal resistance & matching compatible cells. Later online I ordered a 50 Ah battery. It was shipped the next day. He is small & is after funding for more material. An entire container sold in a couple months. He is priced to sell.
Here are two Will Prowse style videos by the owner. (1) He cuts open one battery & discusses components. (2) He details a new upgraded metal case option. There are 9 total videos including one on BT & a low capacity test. Again I’m no expert, but like to support veteran business ventures where possible. Worth a check out ...
