The Eagle is a discontinued model that fits perfectly in a 6 ft bed Tacoma. See FWC web site or call FWC for info about fitting other small pickups.
Purhased 4 years ago in average condition. Since then it’s been totally serviced by Rocky Mtn FWC and I’ve made many additional upgrades (see list below).
The pop-up material is in great shape, including screens. This model has the 4-layer windows with vinyl layers outside and inside sandwiching clear plastic window and screenproviding extra protection in cold conditions.
This Eagle came with standard FWC features and a few upgrades of that era:
Queen bed
Side couch with large storage underneath (becomes comfortable 2nd bed)
Pedestal table
Two-burner propane cook top
15 lb propane tank
Countertop with sink and manual water pump
12 gallon fresh water tank
Icebox
Power converter
110 outlet and 12V socket
Interior lights and porch light
Power roof vent
Front sliding window and boot
Large sliding side window with screen
4 mechanical jacks
I have added or replaced the following:
2014 Complete camper service and “tune-up” by Rocky Mountain Four Wheel Camper including:
New 3 speed Fantastic fan
New eye bolts, built-up camper base and painted base
Ground bus and thermal breaker
Atwood plugs and wiring; Install wiring
Reseal roof and replace roof screws, clean and seal drain holes
Install battery separator
2014 New Optima deep cycle marine battery (DPTI 34M)
2014 Custom thicker (3 ½ - 4”) bed cushions with high quality washable zip covers (5 total)
2014 Replaced exterior hooks, door stop, drain cap,
2015 Custom curtains
2015 New vinyl flooring
2015 New manual water pump and drain tubing
2015 Added outside access to fresh water and easy draining of fresh water tank
2015 All new LED bulbs
2016 New door with screen door and dead bolt
2016 New icebox installed with extra insulation around box
2016 Added 2nd hand grip inside door for safer exit
2017 New faster manual water pump, new rubber seal around cook top
2017 New table top (2” narrower to fit camper better)
2017 Sealed seams with VLP (per FWC recommendation)
2017 Repainted base
Not included: Tacoma bed brackets, entry steps and step stool
Possibly included: Mr. Heater Little Buddy MH4B portable propane heater with safety features
This camper is a perfect entry-level FWC, lightweight and minimal. It’s equipped for off-grid camping and does not need hookups in a campground. The camper battery charges whenever you drive, there’s lots of storage, and a very comfortable bed.
