Howdy

I am down to the wire preparing to head south and my search abilities are diminished.,,,fog of the moment.

Where can I order or retail buy led interior bulbs for the 2012 Hawk Shell ?

Trying to cut down energy use for a 3-4 week trip south.

We have portable lights....ceiling bulb replacement is on my lit to do.

Looking for part numbers for warmer bulbs.....not too bright but stingy consumption.

PS Any else heading to Baja ?

I buy all of my LED bulbs and what-not from Aliexpress in China. A fraction of the price (they are all made there anyway), free shipping. Delivery takes 1-2 weeks if you have that kinda of time. There are all kinds of LED suppliers on the web, but expect to pay 5x-10x as much.

Replacing the bulbs in my 2015 Hawk Shell was one of the first things I did. No brainer. Here's what I ordered on Amazon - but check the base type needed on yours. I absolutely hate the cold led lights mostly available. These warm whites are very pleasing and incandescent-like in color. Tiny amperage pull.

Would love warm white instead of those cold ice blasters from the ceiling.
Would also like some red ones too.
Do any of these fit the oblong 2-stage lights for the newer campers? I have a 2013 with LED fixtures.

I have a red one in one of my fixtures. Thats really nice at night when you don't want to blow out your night vision. I really love the circular led I have over the stove. Lots of light outta that but when I replaced the fluorescent tube there was only one source for led.

Any more info on the replacement of the fluorescent tubes with LED bulbs?
My 2012 Hawk has the factory fluorescent setup with T8 tubes.

I have two overheads that have both red and white LED bulbs. Check West Marine or one of the other online marine suppliers.

What length? I see Camco has them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Camco-Led-Bulb-Rv-T8-18-11-2-Watt-/282027690907?hash=item41aa290b9b:g:eek:vYAAOSwUsJYWkmh

If they do there must be many sources.

I replaced the bulb in this https://www.amazon.com/Thin-Lite-109C-Fluorescent-Circline-Fixture/dp/B0006BIOWO
with https://www.amazon.com/Circline-daylight-directly-fluorescent-rewiring/dp/B01LXFA0T8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1486401816&sr=8-1&keywords=fc8t9+led

At the time I could only find one supplier and I paid twice as much.

Searching for my upgrade thread I found some posts from 2007. We've come a long way since then ;)

I just had to see what this thread was all about, as it is tagged (keywords) "Warm glow of electric sex". Hmmm.
