Spring Shakedown 2016: New Mexico and Arizona

There is a new adventure posted on Bosque Bill's Backroads travel & camping blog. I broke this week long trip into 3 parts. I took the trip at the end of April through the first week in May, but have been slow to pull all the photos and narrative together.

It's not a secret, just not well known. This was the first time I tried it, based upon this article: http://www.dpreview.com/techniques/4455063977/how-to-effectively-use-orton-layers-in-post-processing

I think with some practice and learning which photos it will work best with will bring rewards.

Great report and photos. What an interesting area to explore. I remember seeing a petrified forest on a family trip as a kid but I don't know if it's the same place. I would love to travel in that area some day.
