I've missed out on a couple, others were too far gone for me right now and some were too expensive, another one contained pics of two DIFFERENT interiors so that one did not warrant a call, especially after it surfaced in the LA/San Diego area ad recently in the Reno area. It sounded too shady for my gas money to waste a look-see trip on.

If you have a nice one for sale, could be a front dinette or front/side dinette with an ice-box or two-way reefer and with or without an oven under the stove...and with or without a toilet...I would be interested in it.

I would prefer a solid wood interior, not the particle board mid/late 1970s interiors and please, nothing rotted out I have to fix to use....I'm not ready to tackle a "project" any longer so I need one someone is just upgrading from that is in good/better condition!

Anyone? I've been looking at CL from Seattle to Reno to San Diego/LA for months now...and no, a 10 Ft. is not an option for my needs.

Thanks for any leads in advance!

good buying time with summer winding down..I'll keep an eye out here los angeles area..

Thanks gents...with a limited budget and being set on the 8 ft CO, there isn't a lot available and a lot of it is too far gone for me to restore so an extra set of eyes is appreciated...

I do check Seattle, Portland, SF Bay Area, LA Craigslist almost every day...and have done so since December. At some point going to get one in say, Albuquerque is a problem if it turns out to be rotted out as my F-250 gets a whopping 9-10 MPG!

for the distance campers....take a trailer and a car that gets better mpg

they're out there chuck....keep at it...twice a day :D

I'm looking for you too

I'm just thinking it is a little too far away from me (1100 miles each way). I have seen this one on CL before...if it's in your Zip code I know one of us would be interested pending the amount of wear & tear and possible leaks & water damage/rot to it. I think I have resigned myself to taking a good long personal inspection as owners themselves don't understand the weak areas the AK can have.

Just too far for me to do that and pics don't tell the same story as looking up close and getting a hands on inspection.

Also I and others think this one might be a tad over priced, but thanks for the tip!

I saw it on CL but I am after a cab over as I want the extra bed. The pics look good and if it was a CO I'd be on the Highway 5 to come get it!

Good Luck with the sale, its a nice one!
