We made it around one more time...

“Summer solstice 2018 in Northern Hemisphere was at 3:07 AM on
Thursday, June 21
All times are in Pacific Time.“

Now I’m depressed, the days are getting shorter.

I've always loved the Summer Solstice, as long as I can remember, anyway.

When we were in our 20s and were bulletproof and immortal, some buddies and I went water skiing after work on the Solstice evening. We closed out the last of the daylight slalom skiing behind a Cigarette-type boat running 65 mph at 9:30 pm. Not particularly smart, but memorable!

When living in more northerly climes the longer days meant more. Now that I've relocated to the south the solstice isn't as big a deal, overall day length doesn't vary near as much from winter to summer.
