I just discovered something new and cool in the eastern-Siearra webcam-world -- cool to me anyway.
One of the webcams that I occasionally check on that great website, "Sierra Nevada Cams" is a Bishop cam. It looks like it's from a location a little south of Bishop.
OK, here's the newly-discovered and (I think) cool thing:
Below the cam-view is a link (that didn't really look like a link) -- something about "Time Lapse". I clicked on it and saw that it provides timelapse-videos, created from the stills from that webcam, for the past day or week, month, year:
Bishop Time-Lapse Videos
The default period is "today", but at the bottom of the video window is a drop-down menu that adds the choice of yesterday, week, month, year. Unfortunately, you can't choose a particular day. At the bottom-right of the video window is a control for the speed of the time-lapse.
Interesting to look at the "year" view and see it start with the bountiful snow of March 2011 and see it go away...and come back briefly...and then mostly go away..
