The Smothers Brothers' breakout in the mid 1960s was right when I was experiencing the addition of my third sister (against no brothers) to our family. Seeing the Smothers Brothers' TV show made me want a little brother even more than I did before. I flat out loved Tommy Smothers. RIP Brother Tommy.

A number of years ago I had an opportunity to see him in a show he did with the Tucson Symphony. It was just incredible, he really was an athlete, the level of energy was over the top!
