Just finished TR for our 3 week trip from April 7-27. There are 5 parts organized by state:
WA: http://clikrf8.wordpress.com/2014/04/08/
OR: http://clikrf8.wordpress.com/2014/04/10/
CA/NV/CA: http://clikrf8.wordpress.com/2014/04/17/
NV/OR: http://clikrf8.wordpress.com/2014/04/19/
OR: http://clikrf8.wordpress.com/2014/04/24/

It's very long so you may want to take it one part at a time. The next TR I do will be more fotos, fewer words. Btw, photos are iPhone. I am still editing the DSLR images but I did upload 5 of my favorites:

Thanks for looking.

Looks like you had a great trip Judy. Thanks for sharing!

The birds you encountered are red crossbills (Loxia curvirosta). I've never seen them that brave. Normally, they're much more skittish.

Thanks for the report(s). Sounds like a fine trip. Some country I know; some with which I'd like to become acquainted. Thanks for sharing.

Nice write up. Having been around a good part of the country you traversed, it was great to hear some of the places you went that we missed. Thanks.

Your report brought back memories of hunting agates as a kid. I enjoyed reading about your travels and the great photos.

I knew some of you have been on the same roads we have. Maybe we will see some of you out there.

Wandering Sagebrush: The birds appear a few at first then about 25 or so. It had rained so the insects on our truck and camper were moistened and easy to remove. They made short work of it. We were sort of like the lunch trucks you see, just in time for their breakfast. They were not shy at all.

Takes it easy: Grandparents used to have a place on Whidbey Island, WA on the water and I would wander up and down the beach looking for agates as a kid. I guess I haven't outgrown it.

We leave again next Sunday for another 3 week trip, this time to points further south and east: North Rim Grand Canyon/Canyon de Chelly/Monument Valley, etc.
