Hello travelers!
Finally found and will be picking up a Four Wheel Camper in Tulsa Oklahoma:) We will then be driving back to the Los Angeles area. Going over Spring Break, so not in a huge hurry. Any suggestions from this group would be greatly appreciated. Looks like it is already close to 1500 miles and not really wanting to add too much more to that, but willing to get a bit off the beaten path. Thanks in advance for any and all input!

What truck will you be putting it on? That will help us make reasonable suggestions.

Congrats on the new, to you, camper!

Thanks AWG! The Hawk shell will be on a Ford F-150 4X4 that is leveled and has airbags in the rear. Hope that helps.

in New Mexico, close to your likely route: Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument and/or Valles Caldera National Preserve.

Further off your route but worth it: Chaco Canyon, the Very Large Array, Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge.

In AZ, on your route: Petrified Forest National Park, and then, as you get closer to LA, Hualapai Mountain Park (campground and trails)

Back in CA, if you have time, swing up through Vegas and shower & soak at Tecopa Hot Springs. You could even poke into Death Valley if you have a day or so to scout things out.

Whatever you do, I hope you have fun.

Tony

Will have to get these on my see list. Have been through these areas, but only stopped at Death Valley and Petrified Forest
