The hawk shell in Brandon, OR is a scam I believe. He originally had it listed for $1900 a couple weeks ago. I tried communicating with him thru text (read flakey), said he would come down to $1500 when I made him an offer, then texted me the next day saying it sold. And now it's for sale again for more, with the same seller and pictures. FWIW.

Is that a Hawk? I thought it was an Eagle since it fits a Tacoma. Anyway I was looking at that in early August and he was pretty flakey as well via text and refused to talk on the phone. Told me he had someone else coming out to buy it and then changed his tune the next day - exact same thing as with you. If I were not a solid days drive away I would have looked at anyway.

Also when I was chatting with him he said there were leaks around the vent and window that needed to be repaired - but I don't see any mention of it now. I would highly recommend not making the trip to see that unless you are really close . . .

Yes, I am up in Seattle and didn't feel it was worth the drive to look at based on my interactions with him.

I didn't get any information from him about the leaking, but I would assume that to be true. He also told me of the headliner that needs replaced. He sent a picture, a lot of the insulation on the interior ceiling is ripped up and exposed, needing fixed. I deleted the picture he sent me, but be cautious anyone who's interested.
