Thanks to all of you who post here. It has saved me lots time searching. I'm new to truck campers and have no clue to what a "fair deal" is for one. I'm interested in the ones below and "assume" the asking prices are a little high as some of them have been for sale for awhile. Could some of you PM me with what you think is a fair price? My 2-cents below (and I'm no expert). I only serioiusly considered FWC and ATC, so can't comment on the other two. I'm sure you've read the discussions about their advantages (aluminum frame, light weight, etc), but a lot depends on your situation and intended uses. Good luck and happy hunting!

This one is loaded and the price seems good to me, especially if he'll haggle to below $10k. Only think it doesn't have is a solar panel, but it's pre-wired.

More luxury (outshide shower, steps, etc) and a bit newer, but pricier. Gas struts for raising the roof are certainly nice, but I think can be retrofitted.

Maybe you need a detailed, side-by-side listing of features to decide if it's worth the extra money for the slightly newer one.

Thanks for all the advice. I should have mentioned that I for looking for a camper I can use part time over the next few years until I retire, then sell it. Then, when I retire,I will have a better idea of what I want and need in a camper. So thats kind of why I was looking at the other brands. My "retirement" camper will be a FWC, ATC or XP.

Well, that really all depends on what you are looking for. If you want an aluminum framed offroad camper that will be here in ten or twenty years, then probably not. Hallmarks do seem to have more "bling", ie more of the comforts of home than FWC, ATC etc. Outfitters seem to be FWC clones, but with very nicely polished interiors. They are aluminum framed as well, I believe. Phoenix is owned by the son of FWC campers founder Dave Rowe. He will do custom work, but its pricey and he has been dodged by quality complaints on Expedition Portal over the years. I believe their quality control is improving. If you want absolute quality, without the bling, I would stick with FWC or ATC.
