Usually it is only the lower plywood portion, called the floor pack, that is modified but this can affect the front and rear wall aluminum framing. I have seen some projects where the builder reframed the whole camper but that is pretty rare. There are several recent camper remodels that have involved narrowing or rebuilding the floor pack. You should be able to find them with a search.

Hey all, since this thread helped me grab this a few years back I figure I would post it here first.

Older roamin chariot that fit midsize trucks. It was designed for ford rangers but fit my 2015 GMC canyon perfectly with a drawer box underneath. I have added 100W solar with 70Ahr of battery and a built in inverter and separate 12v usb charger.

I alo added a spot for a 5 gal blue water jug and a pantry for cook gear.

It is still water tight.

Has a boat rack and fold old steps to gain access to the roof.

Has removable table that becomes a bench.

All windows work. Has pass through window.

Door and lock work.

It has a bunch of stickers that could be removed easily if need be.

See pictures here. It would of course be cleaned up.

Comes with Jack stands, and saw horses. I would help mount it for whoever wanted it.

I am interested in checking this out this week. Does anyone have any advice about this sort of roof damage. It looks like the owner tried to fix it with some type of bondo. Could it be repaired without purchasing a new Roof? I am worried about the safety of the latch and obiously leaking.

I would call FWC or ATC and ask them how much for a new roof. That might help you decide. If it's < $2k, this might be a good deal but other structural damage might be a concern.
