Valley of Fires, BLM Recreation Area, Carrizozo, New Mexico is located adjacent to the Malpais Lava Flow in Central New Mexico. There is camping and a nature trail in this BLM fee area.

Another short video (1:11), not as dramatic as the previous one - more informational than inspirational. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy watching.

The video is in UHD, but will only display at 1080p in Safari (due to some sort of dispute between Google and Apple about video encoding. Sigh.)

Thanks. Inset pictures were an experiment that I'm moderately pleased how they worked out - not a perfect solution, but not awful either ;-)

Yeah, Frank, similar to Craters of the Moon, but a much smaller area overall and its origin volcano is only a tiny blip on the horizon. Still an interesting place if you're passing by. Thanks.
