I love volcanic areas. I'll have to put that one on my list. I have a feeling I know what happened at Benton :(

"The snow capped peaks in the distance are the northern end of the White Mountains - Montgomery Peak in California, and next to it, the lower in elevation Boundary Peak, Nevada's highest point."

Thank you for the orientation. Now I have a better sense of where you are.

Interesting volcanics, and a chunk of sedimentary deposit in the mix?

Craig, I just took a break from writing the story and your comment has piqued my interest. Don't say anything. It will be fun to see how close you come. :)

Anyone else formulating a guess on what happened?

I thought I was the only one who did that :)

I wasn't too far off what I expected at the hot tubs. Now you have me wondering. Is there a big huntoon valley?
