Have been enjoying the DV reports. Spent about a month working in the Panamints out by Ballarat and Goler Wash, but have never spent much time in DV. Now we need too!

It is significant that you documented the location and sent your findings to NPS. It would be cool to see them recognize your contribution, in some small way. Then I could say, I saw the 3pins when they were still looking for it.

After all, those who want to be photographers of nature, want a Canon. Those who are, shoot Nikon.

Yes, and any camera - point and shoot or whatever - that you can mount on a tripod and set for long exposure is capable of taking night sky shots.
