Stan posted a picture of one of the neatest RVs I have ever seen. It was originally made by Four Wheel Camper. I wrote to Tiger Motorhomes in Columbia, SC. Mr. David Rowe is the designer builder of the Wikki-Up. The staff at Provan said the RV was built in Colorado in 1982-3.

To my eye, except for the dated van under it, nothing in its class has come on the market that equals that particular RV to this point in time. It has everything.

I have yet to figure our the dials on the dash! One of my buddies thinks it is beer on tap, probably Coors. (See Stan's earlier posts on the Monster Keystone.)

I saw one of those on the road the other day near Pt. Mugu in Ventura County, CA....definately looked like FWC had something to do with the design..It was pretty cool looking.

I would rather have a FWC on a Toyota though:thumb:

We camped next to a Wikki-Up (the van version not the monster flat bed) on our first trip in the FWC at Rock Creek in September '06 and then saw another one here in town about a month later. That is definitely an interesting looking rig. I'd love to see pictures of the interior of that camper.

Hi All,

First, my apologies regarding responding to a thread from roughly 13 years ago! Especially for my first post...Jeez, who is this Lame-O ?!?

However, I have a good(?) excuse as my wife and I currently own a Wikki-Up purchased several years ago via ebay. We flew down to San Diego, met the owner at the airport, did a very basic inspection AKA 'no inspection' and off we went on the ~500 mile drive back to Minden, NV where we live.

The drive back went fine, no walking required. Our Wikki-Up is based on a 1980 Chevrolet G30 (1 ton) van 2WD with an asthmatic 350 four barrel and TH400. The FWC portion behind the cab is the 'Monarch' model.

Welp, the next several years went by quick and the poor Wikki has waited very patiently in the project car rotation for its number to come up. Well, finally it has! :) Lots of work is needed but we are committed to ending up with a versatile and nimble vehicle that will be used for our Baja trips and a bunch of stateside travel.

I'll post some pictures and a bunch of the original paperwork soon you might find interesting. Road test, option list, window sticker, etc. We are looking forward to picking the brains of the very talented folks on this forum as we move forward bringing this baby back to life. We've lurked on this site on and off for a long time and we hope to give something back as we periodically document this build.

Thanks,
Matt Wright

Wow! I haven't heard of the Wikki-Up until I read your post and the earlier posts in this thread. I'm looking forward to your future posts. It will be an interesting build. Welcome with your first post.

Yes, indeed! I too am looking forward to your posts, Matt. I was just thinking last night that I've not seen the word 'Monarch' associated with FWC model names before.

Good luck with your project!

Also- Here's another Wikki-Up post you may have seen here on WTW...

VAN made from a FWC

I’m brand new to this forum. Just purchased a ‘79 Wikki Up van, Four Wheel Pop Up with the Monarch package. And it’s 4WD!! Has a 400 engine, turbo 400 trans & NP205 transfer case. The interior is pretty much gutted so we’re going to make it what we want. I owned a FWC in the 80’s & 90’s so I’m very familiar with their products. When I saw this thing I knew we had to have it!

I’ll post some pics when I get a few extra minutes.
