We used that in our cabin outhouse when we still owned it. Seemed to work well and as you said...lasts forever! Don't know why I didn't put 2 and 2 together.

Thetford recommends Aqua Bio now. Interestingly they make a fresh water tank product called Aqua Rinse that they recommend in Europe and Oceania, but don't sell in the US. I think it helps keep the bowl clean.

The Aussie sites talk about putting something in the upper tank too (Thetford Aqua Rinse Pink), but I can't find anything. I don't like the perfume smell either, but I really dislike poop smell. Things like orange are OK. What specific brands do you prefer?

I think we're going to get a Go Anywhere and test out their kits. It's easily adaptable to something else though like kitty litter or ecogel.

What systems are legal to throw in the trash? For example, if we use a simple pine cat litter setup in a bag in a 5 gal bucket, can we legally drop it in the trash?

I saw those but assumed you needed 4 and that then they'd be more spendy tan the OEM. Do you just use 2 and keep your fingers tightly crossed? :D

The Raven we are buying doesn't have jacks. It's never been off the truck, nor will it likely be. That said, there may come a time when we need to take it off, for whatever reason. Are the jacks FWC specific or will any set of camper jacks work? And...HOLY SMOKES, jacks can be expensive. :blink:

If cost and timing were no object, there's no doubt what I'd get, a Grandby on a built full ton Ford Super Duty flatbed, maybe diesel, but probably gas. Cost and timing are an issue right now though, so I think we'll get our feet wet and see if we want to jump completely in later.

The lifter issues are apparently related to the eco mode. Essentially, under lighter loads fewer cylinders fire improving economy. Why it causes lifter issues is beyond my pay grade. Apparently it was fixed in ‘11 and can be disabled on the rebuild with a different cam and lifters if they start...

Anyone running a late 2000s Chevy 5.3L? Any known disastrous issues? I know there are some all time classic bullet proof motors, and some avoid at all cost motors. I just want to make sure this isn't in the later category. Thanks!
