Guys, there are so many choices. Right now I am thinking new just because i will get many years of use and can make changes early. Didn't do that last time and got less enjoyment out of it. Pretty sure this truck will be used for a long time and will probably run it into the ground over...

Dirty Dog: Thems some nice photos and great place to visit. Was up there last fall. Cold, windy, rainy with lots of sheep all over. I did the loop and liked the other half of the steens. Didn't make it to Hart Refuge, but did like the Alvord desert. Really cool to see both extremes from...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Storage Mods

nixfwc Gotta say, that is ingenious. Love the side table. I was thinking of doing the same, except I wanted it removable and probably attached to the jack mounts....fold down with chain support is brilliant. I have a awning on that side, so would be nice. If you open the slider side window...

fatpete: I have a stock yakima fairing on my dodge 1500 extended cab with hawk with nonextended bed. I have not noticed any difference with or without the fairing with regards to mileage. I do find the camper easier to clean with less bug guts on the front of the camper....Noise is a bit...

I've had this same problem in Rainy Seattle.... I tried looking for VLN. Never did find it. No one ever really admitted to buying it recently.....so then I was told to use seam sealer....the same stuff I use on my jackets and tents and such. Newer campers have better sewing and seam sealing...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC camper sighting Olympic National Park

Was down at Ruby beach on the western coast of WA, in Olympic national park. Yesterday, saw a very clean and nice FWC Eagle on a nice Toyota white tacoma. License plate I think from montana? Anyhow, the plate read "VAGA" So cool. No one around, but the rig was nice, clean and looked like it...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Inverter installed

Nice to have such an inverter... As for microwaves... I have the WAVE, the portable DC/AC microwave. about 175 bucks, small, but portable and I can take it out if I don't need it. Eats a lot of juice. Probably would run the engine while I used it just to be safe. Still to run bigger wires...

I was in Roslyn, WA this past weekend having lunch when I spotted an ATC on a silver pickup parked on the road. Didn't see any markings. Was wondering if it belonged to anyone on the board. I was in a rush to get back to Seattle, so didn't leave a note. Anyone? Dave in Seattle

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The flat tire thread

DD: Sucky story about the tires....Always good to talk about it AFTER the fact. Anyhow, I've had a couple of flats on trips to AK. The drive up the haul road IS brutal. not having 2 spares would be really unwise as the folks up there don't have a lot of patience for us tourist types....We...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Awning questions (again)

i have a shady boy mounted on the passenger side of the camper, above the Hawk window. Works well, a little of a pain to setup, as you have to open it, then place the fiberglass rods in place, then tie it down. BUT it only weighs about 7 pounds. Nice weight savings. The other awnings are...

Ahhhh, a new Hawk. Would be so nice.... Some things are mentioned already, but just remember whatever you like to use when you car camp the old way will probably help out the new way. A lot of use the camper, but spend a lot of the time outside. Chairs, hammocks, nice awning or cover for...
