I used cabinet hinges from Home Depot. I'm using a magnetic latch but may switch to a more substantial one or add additional super magnets to the corners if they don't hold well enough. So far so good, though.

The guy who I bought my Ranger from removed the sliding doors on the bottom cabinet and the routed out track was split. He was just using bins in the open cabinet. I ended up making doors that hinge on the bottom. Here are before and after pics...

I agree with Jay, the camper doesn't actually sit on the tailgate. I ended up putting some foam between the tailgate and camper because the tailgate would pop up and hit the camper on bumps. The tundra has a pretty thick bumper and not much of the tailgate actually extends past it so rocks...

Base Dry Weight 1,170 pounds. Base Price including fridge and furnace is $10600. It is wood framed. It is 56" tall closed and 76" wide. Seems to be a little large for a compact truck as you are pushing the GVWR empty.

Hi Rich, welcome to the forum and good luck finding a suitable camper. I think you need a newer Hawk to fit a T100 or Tundra. Check the FWC website but I think it is ~2002 or newer. So, check your measurements - it is the width at the tailgate that if critical. Also some Hawks that were made...

I have the Ride-Rite air bags on myTundra. It makes a huge difference with the camper on the truck. I have also heard good things about the Supersprings.

When I was looking for a FWC, the number one requirement was a heater. I didn't really care about the rest too much. I like having the bulk tank as well and plan to add a T to the line to operate portable appliances. Jim
