RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Great Basin National Park Off the Beaten Track

Wonderful TR Basin. I went to GBNP three years ago and had a great time. We even summited Wheeler Peak, where the view went on for miles. The wind on WP was incredible and there were even numerous little low rock "bunkers" on the way to the summit where a climber could take a brief respite...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Mexico: The Pecos Basin, Guadalupe Mountains and Sacramento Mountains

When you mentioned that your dragonfly mug was broken, I remembered that I had seen some very beautiful dragonfly pottery from the Ephraim Faience pottery. I included a couple of links for you to check out. It's a little pricey, but worth a look...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How bad are these signs of leakage?

Yikes! It may have just been stored wet and not have any real leaks to speak of, but finding out if that's the case would be difficult. I think I'd pass on this one.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Labor Day Weekend, Graeagle to La Porte

You've inspired me to get up that way and explore it a bit more. When my kids were younger, we geocached up in that area, but other than finding the caches, we didn't look around too much. I especially like your night shots of camp and the stars. You all must possess some extreme discipline...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Sonora Pass

I considered going to Sonora Pass on Labor Day, but I figured Ebbetts would be less crowded. Now I know better. I LOVE summer so I don't know why I got a little excited when I saw that you found ice. Maybe I'm just looking forward to a season change. The color of Wolf Creek Lake from above...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What do you bring/pack in your FWC?

I ALWAYS make sure that I have a roll or two of quarters and my checkbook in my center console. It's a horrible feeling to have a nice pay shower right there and no quarters to feed it. The checkbook is for those times when staying in a campground is necessary (I've never had the exact amount...

I took a short 3 day/2 night camp trip to the Ebbetts Pass area of the Sierra Nevada over Labor Day. Here's a link to the Trip Report: Ebbetts Pass - Labor Day 2015 I incorrectly identified Hiram Peak as Iceberg Peak in my blog. I've since corrected it and I just wanted to put that out there.
