RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West AGM Battery Question ....W

I would suggest you go to an industrial battery supplier and let them charge it overnight. Household charger is not likely to bring it back.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 1/2 ton vs 3/4 ton

I started in 2009 with a used 1/2 ton F150 super crew 4 x 4 followed by a used Hawk. I made the usual upgrades tires and suspension and during use the combo seemed to function pretty good. With seating for five and my kids getting bigger I knew my cargo could get heavier still. Plus I didn't...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2015 Tacoma and Air-Lift airbags

I had air lift bags on my 2005 F150. They seemed ok but I did not like them j- bolt design. When I switched to the 2008 F250 I installed Firestone bags. I just installed the Daystar cradles even knowing the Firestone warning. I do need to look at modifying the lower bracket bolt hole to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Roll over couch question

Try the standard table for a while before making any mods. It has its advantages. That said Ive just ordered a new Hawk and will likely swap my table into it. It is Siver Spur interior with fiberglass exterior.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Roll over couch question

My table is about 15" x 32". Just big enough for three plates. Mounted the table top bottom post off center so the table swivels in a variety of positions and out of the way nicely too.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Roll over couch question

You can always add the Lagun table base (or cheaper copy). I installed mine about midway along the rollover couch. Trimed the table top too.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Plumbers putty on Sink drain tailpiece

I've ordered a new sink and drain due to rust in the sink ( my fault I suppose). I'd like to reuse the tailpiece especially since it is like none I've seen before. There was some putty around the seem between the upper half and the lower half of the tailpiece which can rotate. There is also...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ski storage ?

How about a ski bag instead of a box. Much lighter and more compact. You could probably even lock it with a cable. Could go on the roof or vertically on the back. Roof would be more out of sight from others.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Death Valley Questions again?

Thanks, that is good information to consider for the Lippincott Mine Road segment. I've read that there may be one or more very narrow section(s) with a steep drop off. I might also consider the direction of travel that would position my girlfriend passenger away from the cliff. Any...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Which truck to buy for Four Wheel Hawk Camper

For my 2006 Hawk I started with a 2005 F150 super crew 4x4 with 5.5' bed. With a payload of 1500 lbs it worked fine with airbags, upgraded "E" tires, sway bar. Brakes seemed fine too. Nonetheless I was leery of being overloaded when on a trip with kids etc. I switched to a 2008 F250 super...
