RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2013 Tacoma "Very Minor Upgrades"

Thanks, always interesting to see what is happening with the current models. Hopefully I will not be replacing my 2007 for many more years, but when I do it will be with another Tacoma.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 80 lb lift assist

Jason - Can I add these to the factory installed struts that were installed several weeks ago? In theory the end fittings screw on and off, although I have had a bugger of a time trying to get one set off.

Or you can get these http://www.suspa.com/us/products/gas-springs/options/quick-release-end-fitting/ Those should be standard on the interior mounted struts.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Night light

Yes, I would like to know where to get that. I tried doing a search on the internet for one, but I didn't find one. Sure, here is what I am using. LINK These are the LEDs I am using as interior lights, I am very happy with them. And here are the socket adaptors. LINK If you really want...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Night light

I agree that a red and white combination of cabin lights is a good way to go. If you are interested, you could buy a low emitting (dim) red LED to save on battery. That way you would not have wasted energy converting the high power white light to a dim red light. Let me know if you want/need...

Finally spend several hours a day looking at the camper pictures on the FWC web site and on Wanderthewest. I have done too much of that in the past couple years, even started a thread here for more photos.Random FWC Photos

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Cabin Porn Update

Very nice. I've considered the the enjoyment and duties of owning a rec property, but wisely defaulted to being a wandering sort without the responsibilities of land ownership. Cool collection of cabins. :) Some of us live in a small cabin in the woods full time, for better and worse.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West My new ride, for any motorcycle riders on the fourm

The freeway like all in California was rough as hell, bike was bouncing on the slabs. Quick switch from Sport to Comfort on the adjustable suspension and I feel like I am on a Honda Goldwing, same road now smooth. Sounds like a nice bike! Congrats.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Must Have Option

Well, momma gave me the go ahead to order, I'm just a little nervous to spend so much money. :) Congrats! It is a big chunk of change, but you will not regret it. And if you do ever change your mind and want to sell the camper the resale value of a Four Wheel Camper is very high.

1980's Grandby. The couple who own the truck and trailer are from Austria. The truck and four horses are kept in Colorado. The are up here to do a three month horse trip from the Hyland River up the Nahanni Range Road and go north to Mayo, which is east of Dawson City, Yukon. They did a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West BFG AT tires wearing out early.

I tend to drive on the fast side, so front tires wear on the corners. Driving habits (or style) will have a lot to do with tire wear. With the truck I drive in granny mode, slow on the gas, easy on the brakes and slow in the corners. At one point in time I would go through a set...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West BFG AT tires wearing out early.

I run my tires at 45-60 on the road, but my sidewalls are a bit soft from extended driving with the tires aired down. Best way to figure tire pressure for pavement driving is to chalk test them. Or just take a look at them after driving a short while on pavement when they are dirty from...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West BFG AT tires wearing out early.

Jay and I have virtually the same truck. He got 40 or 50k on his sets. I got 25k to 30k but my tires get seriously more washboard, gravel and dirt roads. That may make more difference than I would have thought. Yes, dirt and gravel roads are hard on tires. I could see that being the difference...
