anyone out there had a diesel and off'ed it?

My previous two trucks were CTD's, an 01 and 05. I went back to a gasser. F150 cause the weight is much less for off roading and I don't have to worry about EGT's. Is it too hot? Has it cooled down enough to shut off? Carrying extra fuel filters. Water in the fuel will destroy a diesel and...

    thoughts on this solar set?

no...no. i just dont know that the added cost is really worth it in the end. my tendency is to go with the lower percentage benefit rather than the highest numbers. if the benefit was better than %10 they would go with the higher rating and claim a larger number.....but they dont. i think i...

anyone out there had a diesel and off'ed it?

i think the only folks who question the benefit of a diesel are those who dont own one. do we know someone who had a diesel and dumped it? (because it was a diesel) i had a gasser and dumped it....primarily due to overheating. (chevy)

its overkill a 10 amp controller will do. P=I * E or I = P/E 85 watts at 12v is appx 7 amps this is the unit fwc uses, its good. they come in different capacities. http://www.specialtyconcepts.com/SPECIALTY_CONCEPTS_PDF_FILES/ASC_SPEC_SHEET.pdf

    question for Stan

ok, now look at the cabover height. with the roof collapsed, the distance of the rooftop to the bottom board of the cabover bed. mine looks to be about 10 inches. is that dimension different from version to version as well? some seem a lot smaller.

I'm finally seeing the light on diesel engines and the US auto makers

another issue is that "in the old days" diesel fuel was cheaper than gasoline. after all, refining costs are less. now days we have lost that advantage.

    question for Stan

is the depth of the bed common amongst all Hawk models? by "depth of the bad" i mean the clearance between the bed bottom board (top surface) and the ceiling when collapsed. what about the dimension between the top of the door and the top of the back wall? i dont think all the campers are...

    An Interesting Photo

I think if the words "kill" or "maim" roll off the tongue that easily one might want to do some serious soul searching about their intentions in general, dogs or not. :-) my poor old puppy dawg.....who would feel the need to shoot a golden retriever?
