strengths of the camper are? minimizes the impact on the vehicle's off-road capabilites. next best step up from tent camping. Weaknesses? a better boot solution would be good. boot friction wears on front of camper. the curtains are ok....i give....but some form of cover that "sticks" to the...

there is a combo drain/anode rod replacement that i used. you can hook water to city feed and then open the anode/drain and watch the stuff blow out. then leave the tank drained when not using it.

    Weatherproof 12V connectors

the anderson connectors are used heavily in the ham radio crowd....as well as the forklift crowd. they do make a cover but it not watertight...they are not weatherproof as the o-ring sealed stuff. but they are better for handling connect/disconnect and really are great for portable equipment...

    plastic water taste

cycle tanks of water. do this: assuming you have finished sanitizing it...or its brand new. fill the tank, let it sit filled for two days, dump it. leave the tanks empty for a few days. repeat... after a few tanks cycled it should improve. the more you use it the better it gets.

anyone out there had a diesel and off'ed it?

But HERR42, you like 45-70 cartridges and probably 50-90s too, and .45s. In your day job, are you Tim the Tool Man? John D no no not me. those are just easy to reload. sorry about the dodge humor...i couldnt contain myself. never the less, only one went back to gas.

anyone out there had a diesel and off'ed it?

so far then there is only one instance reported of a driver going back to gas after hacing experience with a diesel. that was after driving two dodge rams with those little cummins 6 bangers. i guess the dodge was hard on him, due to filter and fuel problems, so the owner switched back to...

    panel install question

Huh.... I don't know either. Inside my junction box I see there is a 3rd post -- maybe for grounding...but there were no instructions to attach a ground or even to open the junction box, since the wires were already mounted and extending out through the weather-tight box. I'm sure someone on...

anyone out there had a diesel and off'ed it?

something i would like to know: how many fuel injected gas engines actually have per cylinder fuel injection i.e 8 injectors on a v8 ? i thought port injection was common. i mean, two injectors into an intake manifold is not the same as per-cylinder injection. fisherman probably knows this?

    panel install question

For the wiring of my panel, is the negative the ground? I have never done any DC wiring. yes it is.... but.... both wires should go to the charge controller or load. you dont attach the neg wire to ground near the panel and run one positive lead. you run both wires to the load. that...

Jeff, the Lady & I were up that way the first weekend in June. Most of the roads had just opened up.
