    Air bag and tire pressure

Glad you got it fixed, but I think if you had separated your bags you would have experienced a similar result.

    Air bag and tire pressure

"A typical tractor-trailer or other large truck can weigh as much as 80,000 pounds by law. Most passenger vehicles are about 3,000 – 4,000 pounds. A passenger vehicle weighing 4,000 pounds, traveling under ideal conditions at a speed of 65 miles per hour would take 316 feet to stop (nearly the...

You'll stop a heck of a lot better than the RVs and loaded Semis.

    46 gallon Tundra tank

That's the thing that bothers me the most. They hang down farther on the Tundras also.

    Air bag and tire pressure

If you separate the airlines on your bags, then the bags and springs will behave about the same. Adding leaf springs will just reduce the amount of air you put in the bags to get the same ride height. I wouldn't expect reduced sway with the added leafs, compared to separating your bags...

    Air bag and tire pressure

If you use airbags with daystar cradles, you maintain downtravel and articulation offroad. Airbags are basically air springs, just a different way to accomplish the same thing. They are not inferior to additional leaf springs if the bags are working properly and you are using cradles. Their...

    Air bag and tire pressure

The airbags will have no problem supporting the weight. You *may* get better suspension performance by having the springs carry more load, but it isn't necessary, and probably won't reduce sway.

When will those OMEs be available? Any links to their specs and price? If shock overheating is the problem, then you need reservoirs on the front as much as the rear. The heat generation is caused by the degree of shock excursion and frequency and the damping it provides. Weight doesn't...

    Air bag and tire pressure

The 5100s have much higher compression damping, and they are mono tube rather than twin tube so they will cool better. The OPs problem is sway. He never said anything about his shocks overheating on washboard (or even driving on washboard). By far the best solution for washboard is airing down...

    Air bag and tire pressure

I think the only rear shocks that fit our trucks are the 4600, 5100, and 5160.

It appears to have an automatic charge system (rather than programmable) and is not designed for lithium. Or am I misunderstanding?

Those look like base shocks, same that came on mine. I thought all TRDs had Bilsteins?

Maybe a better solution to increasing alternator voltage. http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forums/stereo-electronics-electrical/434545-how-increase-alternator-output-voltage-very-pic-heavy-5.html#post6206809 You can also buy fuses that do the same thing: https://www.hkbelect.com/

    Air bag and tire pressure

Tundra TRD shocks are yellow and blue. If they are in good shape they should provide decent damping. Base shocks are plain black.

    Air bag and tire pressure

The point I was trying to make is that the oil doesn't really circulate over stutter bumps, only if the suspension is moving through a longer stroke.

    Air bag and tire pressure

A good inexpensive choice would be the Bilstein 4600s that come on Tundra TRDs. The Rancho 9000XLs are another option with the added bonus of adjustable damping. Rear shocks are easily replaced but front ones are difficult. Just doing the rears might be enough. It's my understanding that...

    Air bag and tire pressure

Seems pricey for adding one leaf, and they are not giving you the full story. 2 thinner springs will ride better than one thick. Someone on this forum gave glowing reviews of an upgrade from Boise Spring Works. I think it was a 3 (thin) leaf pack. But I suspect your sway issue will be solved by...

Found this regarding alternator charging: http://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/168085-Pro-Rig-V2-0-Home-Built-Compact-Composite-Pop-up/page23 "The first key, in my case, was to disable the trucks (2010 Frontier) clever alternator management system. I'm not totally clear on what the...

    Air bag and tire pressure

Which tires specifically? 40 psi might be a little low. If your airbags are joined together, that might be the culprit. If the truck wants to tilt, air will flow out of the one being compressed and into the one being extended.

Need Some Quick Advice - F150 Long Bed Limitations

I've not heard of the 19' restriction. Can you steer me to more info on that? My rig is going to be ~24' long.

1st gen Tundra tell me about your shocks and suspension.

For washboard airing down seems to have the biggest effect, plus finding that "sweet spot" for speed.
