    For those about to Rock...

m-h, Very nice, as a fellow music junkie I'd love to have a set up like that. What are the speaker sizes and how many watts does it put out?

    It's a sad day...

The Eagle has departed Saturday afternoon we had the great pleasure of selling our camper to Bill and Jan Johnson who had lost their beloved '03 Eagle along with their house and Bill's classic Unimog in the Lopez Canyon Fire in October 2008. Our ad was on craigslist for 10 hours when Bill...

Anyone headed to UT or NV next week?

brett, The 1,000 is the roof framing capacity, I really doubt that the lift panels could take anything close to that.

Anyone headed to UT or NV next week?

brett, FWC says 1,000 lbs on the roof, so 1000/(6.5x9)=17 lbs per square foot, at 25 lbs a cubic foot for snow 17/25=.68' allowable or about 8". Now the weight of snow can vary from 20 to 30 lbs a cubic foot so be conservative and shovel often.

    It's a sad day...

It will likely have a factory job of some type but I'm sure I won't quite like it so even though I haven't seen it I know it won't be quite right. And so it goes.

    It's a sad day...

Thanks for all the positive responses guys, I really won't have expected less from the WTW family. As of about 10:00 AM it looks like the camper is sold to a great couple with FWC experience. We're just waiting for their deposit to be confirmed and have tentative (or maybe solid) plans to have...

    It's a sad day...

It's a sad day in many ways for us, we've decided to sell the Eagle and move on to something like a loaded Class B. I know, what the f**k are you thinking? Well, much like Patrick and Les we decided we want a little more space and comfort for longer and longer road trips. The nature of the trips...

    The Rest Of The Story!!

Jay, You'll have to accuse me, works a little slow and I just needed to be sure I still knew how to calc it. I'm with you on redundancy, I always tell my clients they can add more or large lumber any time they like, more safety factor makes me happy every time.

    The Rest Of The Story!!

Nice work Jay. Lets see, triple 2x4 DF#2 in compression parallel to the grain is 3.5" x 4.5" x 1000 psi = 15,750 pound capacity, I think it will hold up over time. Though trimmer loading is usually controlled by the material they are resting on so that number could go down to around 10,000...

david, We had the same issue with the stock pads in the Eagle, we ended up adding a 2" foam pad and that did the trick.
