The First Trip With The Hawk

Now that's a break in trip, I don't think we did that kind of mileage in any two year period, way to go agate. Welcome and will be looking forward to pics.

    Post Purchase Factory Installed Furnace?

I installed the factory heater in our Eagle 5 months after taking delivery of the new camper. About $500.00 for the parts and maybe 5 hours work and well worth every dollar and hour, we were never cold again. FWC wanted approximately $800.00 for the after market install but could be more now...

"Trying To Slow Down"- Montana To Socal

Great pics and trip. We drove 93 from Ely to Panaca on our way to Zion in September, great drive. Ahh, retirement, I can't wait but still 6 to 8 years off. Keep the reports coming.

9 Million Acres At Stake In Utah!

I second that Herr, the Rubicon is a great example and how "responsible" most OHVers are when left to police themselves. That said, it seems that 9 millions acres is a bit extreme and something in the middle would be better.

    Coleman Black Cat Heater. Opinions?

We used one on our first trip, Rock Creek in late September and were very cold, before the next trip I installed the factory furnace and we were never cold again, only way to go for cold weather or high altitude camping. I'm done being uncomfortable while trying to have fun, 35 years of living...

    Eagle Dinette Conversion

Nice looking set up, FWC is getting better at the dinettes every time they do a new one. Yours seems to have more foot room then their first models. I also noticed they added in the small storage available between the seats on the camper step, I had opened that space up under our seats but never...

Interior Heights Of Various Models/Years + "Four Seasons?"

Congrats on the great deal, I think I see suspension mods in your future, keep us posted.

    The Birth Of Robert

Scott, $1,200 for suspension mods on that truck seems high, we had our Eagle on the same truck and add-a-leaf at $350, heavy duty shocks at $250, and air bags @ $260 (self installed) did the job very well for a total of $860 and was very versatile.

    "Manual" Battery Isolator

I couldn't agree more Ed, the isolator system is idiot proof and I've been known to need idiot proofing at times.

    Check This Out

Not a chance, this guy can't really think anyone is going to believe that camper is new. The jacks, the lift handle, all the aluminum trim inside and out, and it looks like he has remove the outside window flaps. This may be a previously wrecked camper.

Beating Myself Senseless With This Project....

Rob, A standard camp stove doesn't burn as completely and cleanly as the factory units designed for inside use. As a result they require very good ventilation to be used inside, a little scary from a safety standpoint. I think it was Ben at ATC who initially posted the explanation of the...

    Bags Or Springs

Wow, I don't think we've seen that type of frame damage on a Tacoma before. Great fix you guys did. One question though, are the air bags the only suspension mod you have? If so I think an extra leaf or supersprings would likely take up the extra weight that the bags are now transferring to the...

    Bags Or Springs

Eldough, I wouldn't leave the fillers under the bumper, eventually you will destroy one or both. I was able to drill through the bumper just to each side of the license plate to mount mine and it worked out great. As to bag pressure I ran about 30 psi on the driver's side and 25 psi on the...
