Great interview and work Daniel, glad to see you're still around here.

    Used Camper Alert Thread

The deal sounds decent, but a Grandby is 8' and likely too wide and heavy for a Tacoma. Best of luck.

Excellent pics and report as usual KC, thanks for posting.

    Swivel table in my Hawk

Nice job hawk, I don't think you'll regret the extra expense down the road. As to FWC and the table we had this discussion a couple of years ago and they really aren't interested in table improvements. They love that cheap useless table and likely won't change it.

    Maiden Voyage

Great truck Ted, I'd love to have the bigger engine for hauling the Casita but unless we inherit a large sum it ain't gonna happen. Keep the pics coming.

    Snowing at my house

31 and snowing again and again and again. Way too much snow for November, not to mention the minus temps, it's going to be a long winter.

    Furnace won't light

The sail switch will be just forward of the fan in any heater. That switch is really the weak link in the whole safety system in these heaters. They generally fail internally due to the fact that they swing back and forth as you drive and simply wear out so adding lube to it won't solve the problem.

    Furnace current draw?

I'd guess if the limit switch is tripping before the stat that the motor is running too slow to cool the box, looks like a new motor or new furnace is in the future.

Off to Reno to pick up New Hawk

The way the weather forecast is looking right now I'd grab the new camper and dash to the east before the storm gets here on Friday night. All the Best.

    40k for a tent, I don't think so.

    Update on new camper

The next thing to check on the heater is the sail switch, they fail often and are very easy to test once the unit is out of the camper. Set up a bench test with spare propane connection and 12v battery or jumper cables, wire around the switch after connecting the thermostat wires. It is...

    Winterizzing

The only drawback to RV anti freeze is if you don't flush it out properly your water will taste bad. It's been in use for so long and tested so thoroughly that I don't hesitate to use it.

    UHAULER is for sale

Hauler, sounds like a familiar story, about the time you get it finished it's time for something else. My wife jokingly says every time I get a rig just right we will sell it. Hopefully we'll keep the current one longer this time. Good luck with your sale and keep us posted on what's next.

Removing hot water drain (ours won't budge)

The factories put those plugs in way too tight during assembly. I've had the same problem with two of them so far and just had to keep working at it until they broke loose. Once you get it out reinstall with a couple layers of teflon tape and you won't have that issue again.

Need Help to determine Used Values?

Forget any nada values for FWC campers, their prices are all wrong. I'd grab the 2001 and be happy if I was you.

A quick trip through Lassen Volcanic National Park

We got the same warnings from the park people when we checked in so we kept things fairly secure. It was real strange having to be concerned about theft in a state park. Too bad a few low lifes can affect the rest of us so much.

A quick trip through Lassen Volcanic National Park

We spent 3 nights at Burney Falls in September and really enjoyed it. We were working our way back home from Fowler's Camp Campground on the McCloud River. Great spot to explore the river and the three waterfalls that are within about a mile of camp. If you're ever in the area it's well worth a...
