Inline Fuse on ground wire ?

Electric coffee maker off a battery seems like a big waste of battery capacity... :) :) :) Haven't heard anything from the coffee thread that was active in the past. I use the little coffee press heating the water on propane. At one time I had a microwave in the camper, I think 700w, that...

To learn a little about Latin America

Fantastic photographs! You are an excellent photographer, especially the first page. I would think there could be a foreign camper trade exchange website, like people who trade houses for vacations. hey Jay, that would be a good business for you to do while you are busy selling ATC's. Good idea...

To learn a little about Latin America

Correct. Jay was a great friend we did there in Chile... Always friendly and ready to cook Indian food for us. That's funny, I hosted Jay one night before he left the US and have been following his route on ADV Rider. Want to do a bike swap :D

    Tire Rating Help

Stronger tires are good insurance. You might want to weigh the whole thing and look at some of the other threads on the weight of a loaded up Hawk. Your may be over total capacity which explains sway.

Hoist a Cold One!: Historic Bars of the Southwest

This just came out, lists a couple familiar ones in Silverton. So who will be first to visit all 25? I've been to four. Book Description Publication Date: July 15, 2011 Throwing a few drinks back at the bar is a timeless tale of humanity. In the American Old West, this tale played out in...

    FWC Motorcycle hunter

I sold that thing in about 14 hours, turned a healthy profit :) Guess I'm not a Harley guy. Sturg is not quite my cup of tea but I bet you had an interesting time.

    FWC Motorcycle hunter

I've always wanted to put one on the Jeep. Mind if I ask what they go for? Sorry for the delay, missed this. That one cost just over $1000, good deal, most have suffered more, it is a 91. Newer one better, but for my play this will be fine. Wait until I post some pics ofwhat I just found...

    Flagging Yosemite Permits on Craigslist

I used "allofcraigs.com" to search and found quite a few but they all had been flagged :) , except a few that said they were just giving them away as they could use them. Maybe these people will be driven out of business!

Norcold 1.7 cu. ft. 3-way refrigerator.

Nice find Ted. When/if I switch to a DC refrigerator.....I'll definately do the doors too. Is there much usable storage space behind the doors? I just lined the inside of the doors with my favorite substance, reflextic. And then from the inside I added a little more fiberglass insulation...

Extra Gas Line on a Hawk?

If it is illegal it must be so for a good reason. Perhaps but in Chicago a lot of things were against code to better serve union laborers. Same in the railroad industry.

Extra Gas Line on a Hawk?

Did you use a quick disconnect or hook up the rubber hose permanently? We would like to be able to stow the Wave while traveling, yet be able to hook up it quick in camp. My rubber hose is a more permanent connection but long enough so that when I travel it just stores on its' feet under the...

Seeking Input for a Trip to Arches & Canyonlands end of August

Over 100 there these days, not good if anything goes wrong, think vultures. Lasals are a good cool off, also some good camping in the Abajo's West of Monticello. If too warm I'd head towards Capital Reef/Torrey, over 7000'. Cedar Breaks is well over 8500, on your way back Great Basin has...

    My Hawk weighs...

My loaded Hawk really over taxed my Tundra. When it came time to replace it I did so with a 3/4 ton truck. The 3/4 ton handles it so much better and I can actually stop the rig when I want too. The Tundra with the Hawk couldn't get out of it's own way....and you really needed to plan in...
