To learn a little about Latin America

Awesome scenery and amazing photography. I would love to visit and see it in person and of course sample the local beer.
Maybe we need a WANDERTHESOUTH forum.

This is a good idea!

Mucho gusto, Daniel! What scenery you have in S. America, which you have captured in wonderful compositions!
I especially like the Patagonia / Cerro Torre photos. You must have done some climbing to get those perspectives.

In fact, the photos taken of Cerro Torre... i used the zoom!

I'm not very adept at climbing!

Thanks for sharing your part of the world and your adventures with us. Spectacular places and photos. I'd love to be able to explore some of the places you showed us. Maybe someday. Were all the photos shown taken on one trip, or several? If one, how long were you gone?

TK

It would be a great pleasure to have them here!

We always find enough U.S. travelers in Patagonia and Atacama and it is rewarding to talk and exchange experiences.

The first pictures (Patagonia) were taken between 2008 and 2009, when we were four months traveling the South of the Americas. The other (Atacama) were taken between 2010 and 2011 from December to January.

Xmas at San Pedro camp base, with friends... German, Colombian, Brazilian, Chilean, and U.S. people.

I think I know someone in the picture!! Is that Jay? driving through South American and then Europe, Africa, and on to India? On his Suzuki??

Is that Jay in this pic?

This is an epic thread already. I need more time to adequately take in all these magnificent photos but my initial reaction is AWESOME!

I really believe make a difference here in the forum.

For a long time I follow the forums and posts and i always admire the beauty of the places shown, the wonder of landsacapes and of course the quality of travel reports. However, there was no talking about other places outside the United States.

Logically, because the forum to call WANDERTHEWEST, I thought to myself: it would be correct talk about things unrelated to the West?

You have a wonderful country, full of beautiful places and geographical contrasts... A true gift from God.

Why not show some of the wonders we have here too?

Now I see it was worth and it was a good idea... I hope to see more people doing the same.

Is a pleasure to be with you!

Wow!

I am going to take my time and enjoy going though the photos. But I wanted to thank you for taking the time to share with us your travels.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
