the awning will be mounted on the bottom of the top section...that extrusion is 4" wide which may interfere with the electrical plug at the driver front...but the motor for the EIDE is on the top of the top section...actually above the top section on the rack Make it work...that's an...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Led running lights

they should work...the running lights are so sensitive to broken grounding...I'd clean up the contacts real good before installing anything new....sometimes the old bulb had only one teeny weeny ground made and removing it breaks the ground....and leaves a crudy surface for the new bulb to ground on

any should fit.......you may have to remove the liner portion on the tailgate....give it a try first...there's usually an inch or so. The tailgate width revisions have been the issue and with older pickups the width was fine

All good points...Willys, I'd like to see one of those vent applications.... I've done a fair amount of construction defect management over the years and moisture intrusion is often the culprit....but water easily in doesn't evacuate so easily....those small vents placed properly could solve...

BMI....sorry for the nasty experience...I've often thought about the waterproofing success of vinyl window flashings. I've seen several water intrusion issues which could be attributed to those seals....did Brian make any indication of what his opinion was? New materials don't always predict...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Weight on roof

you did a nice job on the refurb Willys.....very nice ;) Whatever you load on the roof....max boat weight is 250# per Alaskan....and even distribution of the weight Alaskan regularly installs solar/AC and did have a boat rack for a while.....Eide had an Alaskan rack as well...no longer since...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West 95 Alaskan Camper 10' CO roof lift weight capacity

yes...limit the boat weight to 250# or less correct.....do not load the boat with the top up.....if you can, lock the top down after lowering it and before loading the boat...at least the front...that way the strain will be put on the locking mechanism rather than the cylinders Straight up and...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West 95 Alaskan Camper 10' CO roof lift weight capacity

mount the panel on the camper body itself....and you will be able to mount 250# of boats over the back edge...the torsional pull from the rear is the issue...it tends to deform the cylinders in the front. Using the Eide, the pressure is on the front of the camper when mounting...vertical weight...
