    I'm getting ready to purge a system myself and plan on installing a valve at the pump for draining most of the system....taking the handle off the valve for "safety"....you have to think about doing this....Mine has been 46 years without a drain and change.

    that VHB tape is a good idea....I've not used it but have heard some real impressive results using it..... anything to minimize holes in the "boat" cure time is about 36-48 hours with 5200...to firm.....any thicker lines would take a bit more....but at 7 days...it's tough to remove
