have a 2006, 4wd, 4 dr, short box tacoma, and a finch. This leaves me about 5" "back deck" with the tail gate down. So the goal is a 2 month long skiing road trip, living in camper some of the time, and in warmer places some of the time. 4 pairs of skis, between 2 people. problem: Skis...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West 88 toyota hilux with new finch

This is a right hand drive, 88, toyota hilux. 4 dr, 4wd, 2.4 diesel in it. I've had it for about 4 years now, and have wanted a camper for a while, but the falcon was too small, eagle too large (too much overhang), and ordering out of the states is a pain etc. Then along came FWC canada, and...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West do I need a fridge?

Getting ready to pull the trigger and order a eagle. the trips for this will be 1-2 nights locally (banff, CND rockies) so not that warm, below freezing will be common overnight. The other will be a spring fall trips south, 1-3 weeks, and all near some civilization (not bushwacking in AK, and...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West shipping a camper?

thanks guys, camper went for a steal, but shipping 2000 miles sight un seen (or un smelled) just too risky, plus doing the X boarder thing too. I'll just buy new this winter and pickup for spring.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West shipping a camper?

Good news: I found a camper, and it might be priced right. Also good news I don't live in Texas. Bad news: The camper is in texas, I'm in banff alberta, and would like it shipped right to my door, but if not just to somewhere in MT is fine too. I can drive a few hours south and pick it...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West how much rear overhang is OK?

my overhang will be similar, but the rear wheels are farther back them mine so the balance will be better. I've had 4 people at 200 pounds each, and a 400-500 pound motorbike in the back. The overall weight was fine, Truck drove great actually, but that was better balanced then a camper just...
