RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Your Input is NEEDED NOW!

"I strongly express that ALL national monuments should NOT be reviewed. As a “stakeholder” (read as a tax payer and voter) I have NO problem with my government that previously set aside these areas. I do NOT want any development, drilling, mining, commercializing, etc of any kind now or...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Crossing the CA border with FWC

We have crossed into CA 4-5 times, and it was only our last crossing in 2015 that had us wait inside the building while 2-3 CA agents spent 15 minutes checking the camper. No problem of any kind found, and we thanked them for keeping all of us safe. Mike

AmeriGas (Kalamazoo, MI) recertified my FULL 20# tank for $5. Only took about 5 minutes, that includes getting out of my truck, going inside to ask, back in the truck to a back building, gave tank to guy, me look around at the old giant propane tanks, guy gave me back the tank, back in the...

June 24, 2012, we camped in our ATC Cougar in Las Vegas so we could pickup my stepdaughter at the airport the following day. That night is was 108F and the swimming pool was locked up tight! The next morning, my wife said, "Do you use the shower in the restroom?" So, HELL...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water tank drain pipe snapped off above petcock FWC 2001 Hawk - how to access?

I used a quarter turn female iron pipe sillcock and two thread adapters to reduce the sillcock to match the 15G water tank in my '08 ATC Cougar. Also a little cap to keep the dust out of the sillcock. I also used a black marker on the sillcock red handle so it would not be as noticeable.

I replaced my original (ATC '08 Cougar) Interstate DCM0075 (Group 24) June, 2015 because of a ~2 month Alaska trip. That 7 year old battery was/is still OK, but did not want to take a chance on the AK trip. I use a BatteryMINDer 12 Volt 2/4/8 Amp Wet/Gel/AGM Battery Charger (now...

I have that stuff but could not think of the name, I called it, "some 3/4" supper scratching thing they use under boat mattresses". The problem with that stuff is, it scratched off almost all the thin fake oak plywood plastic finish on both sides of the bed area. I bought a piece of vinyl...

I just ordered the Klymit Insulated Double V. Our 2007 ATC Cougar sleeping area is 48" x 81" (no pullout thingy). The Klymit 47" x 74" pad will be used by my wife. I toss-n-turn-kick-off-the-covers all the time, plus I have to pee a couple times during the night, so I sleep on the "couch"...
