RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wanted small super light truck camper for 2016 tundra 4x4 trd off road regular bed, tell me your opi

My Hawk doesn't hang out past my fenders on my '13 Tundra. It has the Tundra floorpack from the factory so it sits at the right height above the bed rails

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hawk on 2nd Gen Tundra

Just to give you an idea of how the fit of a Hawk made for a Tundra looks like I took a couple pictures of spacing on mine. Forgive the choice of a scale device but the cabover is less than the height of a soda can and about 3/4 inch above the bed rails Sent from my iPhone using Wander The...

I run a '13 Tundra DoubleCab and Hawk combo, I haven't had any issues yet either. I do plan on upgrading to E rated tires. Honestly I don't feel the camper all that much, and I love the truck so much that I have a very hard time justifying the switch to a 3/4 ton. My camper weighs in at 1257 lbs...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Truck thoughts for 2011 Eagle

My mother in law has a new V6 Colorado. It's a nice truck but I feel the Tacoma has better fit and finish and build quality. Not to mention it drives better and has much better steering input. Both are too expensive for what they are though. You can get a half ton for practically the same amount.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Truck choices for FWC's?

I have a Hawk on a '13 Tundra. I chose a Tundra over a 3/4 ton American truck because of my experience with American trucks over the years. We have had Ford's, Dodge's and GM on the farm and while they have worked well for cheap they are prone to breaking when you absolutely need them the most...
