RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West under couch storage

We use these https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10300036/ for clothes. I think you can fit 7 of them under the couch. We each get 2 for clothes when we go on a trip.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Delaminating underside of Fleet

Thanks for the tip. I don’t think it’s shown on the pic but I did add a drip edge and also sealed along every edge of the trim.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Mounting solar panel using AM Solar's rocker feet

I did not get the tilt bars. Flat I pull in anywhere between 120-150W if my Victron says the batteries need that much. I usually don't need much to "top off".

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Delaminating underside of Fleet

I was able to repair the delaminating/rotting wood this spring. I used a product called CPES from Rot Doctor. Once it was treated I filled it with an epoxy filler from Rot Doctor called Fill It, sanded it and then painted with exterior paint. Before After

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rust? Screws? FWC Hawks?

I said that I would post some pics of my Fleet's corrosion and the repair. I believe this was caused by the previous owner leaving the camper on during the winter and salty roads. I pulled all of the trim off, cleaned it up, painted it with zinc paint and reinstalled the trim with butyl tape and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fleet quick grey water setup

In an effort to speed up setup and break down camp. I routed my grey water hose in and down through the "cubby" in my Tacoma. I also switched to a collapsible bucket that stows in the propane compartment. All this allows us to just hang the bucket once we get to camp and we are ready to use the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Mounting solar panel using AM Solar's rocker feet

Just got back from our SC trip and the VHB tape and Dicor seems to be a great mounting option. Not a sign of it coming lose with is exactly what we all want. I just read the truck camper magazine article on FWC's new red color concept and they are using VHB tape it install the siding.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West eyebolts pulling through wood

I have added some aluminum backing plates on the bottom to hopefully keep this from happening. The backing plates are roughly 30" long x 3" wide. It connects the 2 eyebolts together in an effort to strengthen everything even more. My only thought for you would be to add some larger plates on the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West More Power! USB Charger upgrade for the camper

In my mind, a step bit works even better than a Dremel at making the charger socket hole larger. Did have to use the Dremel to make the cabinet hole bigger though.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West More Power! USB Charger upgrade for the camper

Did pretty much the same thing on my older Fleet. I had to enlarge the holes and panel cutout though. Good work!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Removed the head banging push bar

If you don’t mind I am going to give this a shot on my 2011 Fleet tonight. I have the non composite panels so I may be able to provide pointers to those in that category. I am thinking of adding some 3M dual lock to the panels to add some “stay open” security. Don’t see why you couldn’t add a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Mounting solar panel using AM Solar's rocker feet

I just installed mine and I would say the hold rivals that of using screws. Taking a trip from VA to SC next week. I’ll report back. Posted some pics here: http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/topic/16356-fleet-180-watt-solar-panel-install/#entry195380
