Eye bolts for camper

Hey All
What size Eye Bolts are recommended for the camper? Are 1/2 inch sufficient? And where does one find these things besides on the internet.. home depot does not carry forged eye bolts..

McMaster Carr is another great option if you know what size you are looking for. If you are looking for a storefront try a rigging shop.

Try find a rigging company in your area. Search the Internet and learn some terminology.

Got this. Some of these lifting eye bolte have a bolt with a flat head large in diameter but thin, the lifting eye screws on to the bolt.I think my Cougar has 3/8 but I did not measure just in my mind from what I think I saw. Good luck

I bought mine at my local Tractor Supply store. I believe they were these National Hardware N245-126 ones on the Tractor Supply website.

The silly listing doesn't show specs but in the Q&A section there are links to a tech drawing and this listing at National Hardware showing the 3/8" one has a 1200-pound safe working load and WeatherGuard finish. I considered going to the N245-159 1/2" ones to get 2200# safe working load but decided that wasn't necessary (and those weren't in stock).
