You need to find out if there is any voltage drop across the separator. If so, then you would not want to use both. I would recommend a call to Surepower tech support.

It is 1/8" ABS. I ran a bead of silicone around the frame but for the most part the fasteners hold the screen in place. Silicone does not adhere to ABS all that well. You might look for a different adhesive. Mike Since PVC glue is used on ABS drain pipe, I think that would work quite well!

Anodize would cost a fortune, it is not cheap. You would have to find a plater with a tank large enough to dunk it in. Powdercoat is much more feasible. Unlimited colors, just spray and bake.
