Does anybody have any experience with a Eagle on a 1997-2003 F-150 short bed ?

These are all great and ingenious ideas for steps with no tailgate , What do ya'll do for steps when you leave your tailgate on ? Currently using a small step stool on a Ranger/Eagle, and it works fine, a step would be better.

Is this rig still for sale ?

To the OP, did you buy the Eagle ?

This an interesting topic, my 2005 Eagle has 2" foam only, do you travel with bed pulled out ? Maybe all person would have to do is leave the bed in the open position for traveling with bedding on [using 3"foam]. Might be difficult to pop the front...hmm I'll have to do a little more pondering..

Thank you Old Crow and Mark for great info, if it quits snowing tomorrow I'll pop the front and check wire colors for a start. I looked on the roof earlier and found nothing in the way of a plug, maybe I can get my phone camera behind the lift panel enough to see where it terminates. My Eagle...

Thanks guys... Had a chance to look on the roof, no indication where the wire terminates/plug on the roof, tomorrow I'll look under sink cabinet for some sign where the wire starts. I would think it almost impossible to find where the wire is in the ceiling without some serious surgery. :(

Thank you for the reply, I'll look on the roof tomorrow , I'm thinking it also might be prewired for an over bed fan. Maybe others on here might shed some light , no pun intended. Forgot to add , there's also a rocker switch to right of the refrigerator that is stock but doesn't seem to...

Just returned from the maiden voyage in my 2005 4WC Eagle, everything seems to work fine, however , there is a 2wire loom coming out from the front left of the bed and runs and behind the lift panels, looks , as best I can see to go into the roof, appears to be factory. There are no exterior...

The reason I ask , I have Reico on all corners but I don't haul them around cause they're are heavy. however I would like to take the camper off at camp destinations, any thoughts ?

Does anyone use tri-pod jacks to R&R they're 4wc Eagle ? Wondering about safety aspect of a loaded Eagle.

Many rigs on this site are occasionally over payload capacity including mine, perhaps aal or airbags would fit the bill. You might be over concerned/thinking.

Is your main concern payload ? Have you calculated the cost difference in fuel/maintenance ? If you're more comfortable with gas, get the larger payload truck ..Larger Payload is better ... within reason....IMO
