Anybody ever get an electrical discharge when metal touches the metal corner or door of their camper. it doesn't do it all the time just occasionally. It's pretty scary when it happens. Is it just static discharge? Do I not have it grounded correctly? thx

We take our 2 12.5' kayaks to baja every year. It takes 2 to load them using the scissor stairs and a small step ladder. It works OK. It would be nice to have a loader but that's more weight on top. We crank the roof up with a speaker stand crank.

If you aren't getting a good charge you may want to upgrade the wire from the truck to the camper. It should be a minimum 6awg gauge. modern alternators don't put out much voltage and you want the biggest wire you can get. Are you charging an electric frig from the alternator? That takes a lot...

thanks Vic, your electrical expertise is so helpful. I'm a little confused! In most wiring applications there is a black/Red and a white wire. I believe the white is the common and black/Red the hot or positive. Most also have a green wire which is ground. I think the camper is wired this way...

Thanks! What about a ground wire. Shouldn't the camper be grounded? The existing plug-in has 3 wires, one being a ground. I'm running 2 wires to the truck. Do they both need to be 6 awg? I guess the IOTA is just for shore, thanks

Try to figure where the roof rafters are and walk on those. older campers it's obvious but new roofs are 1 piece and a little harder

I just found more space behind the drawers. also, don't forget the wheel wells have a lot of space and 4wc has those tiny little access ports. It's easy to enlarge those for wheel well access
