RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West couch in 2004 hawk

Hi, Yes, I do not have the front couch, only a side couch which is where my battery is. Was the tie back added on or did it come stock? My model is a 2004. Maybe they were not doing it then. Also, I have the two fold down legs on the back of the back of the couch. Do they go at the top...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West couch in 2004 hawk

I wish I could draw a photo. Picture a couch. The back of the couch falls forward slightly, when traveling, which pushes the wooden pieces on the underside of the seat cushions forward, which pushes the base wood forward, which is pulling the screws out of the wood.

thanks for the reply. We had it that way, and it makes sense, but when we drive, the back cushion falls forward, and has ultimately led to the wood base of the couch moving forward and stripping the wood where the screws are. Hard to put into words, but the basic ideas is that the back cushion...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West the inland passage of Alaska

I'd concur on taking the Cassiar and stopping at Hyder, also make the side trip to Telegraph Creek on the Stikine. When we did this in 98 there were free forestry maps available at the tourist info stops in the small towns along the way. They showed side roads and camps that we would have...

Yes, absolutely, do the Dempster. It is 3 or 4 days round trip and the lowest population density, greatest adventure of the trip. It is safe. Arriving in Inuvik, you really feel like you are at a wilderness outpost. I fall asleep at night dreaming about my next trip up the Demspter. Also...

Dempster Hwy to Inuvik is the #1 reason to head north! thanks for the tips. We were considering not going on the Dempster as we only have 70 days total from CAlifornia to California. Also with the price of gas.... but you say go?

I tried to buy the hawk in Sacramento. It was sold to the first guy. Work got in the way on Friday, so had to wait until Saturday and it was too late. I was ready to go over the Sierras in a huge storm to go get it. We called first thing Friday morning, drove up from long beach, bought it...
