Thanks for the boat wood expertise. This is what I would hope the original manufacture would have done to the wood originally. Readying it for the various seasons.

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Protecting interior wood finish

Thanks for the reply, and the shared ideas on replacing the original manufactured pieces with something different. I should also mention that the pnuematic staples that where used to install my battens have also rusted, and stained the wood as well as the mold. Yes, Vancouver Island is a very...

Original poster: How did you manage to fix the issue? I too have a fair amount of mold/water damage from the camper sitting outside. It is pretty upsetting for a 2010 to show that much damage to wood that should handle moisture. My wood interior slats on the roof, all have damage from mold...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West wind deflectors

The Nissan Frontier comes with a factor roof rack and wind deflector. Works great but I had to add foam tape, as at certain speeds with the camper it would fwap away and make tons of noise.

Thought I should finally update this. I did end up attaching the artificial rain gutters to the sides of the top roof of my camper. I used two of the existing screw wholes, and drilled one extra one for added strength. The job was easy, and they attached neatly and feel strong. I have hauled...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Thule Roof Rack Gutters

I just read this thread, and on the 3rd page, you can see that a FWC owner did what I was thinking with a Yakima rack. http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/topic/8640-yakima-roof-racks/page-3?hl=%20roof%20%20rack Looks like it works, i will send him a message and see how its held up. Thanks again.

Hey, I have a set of Thule roof rack that I would like to mount on my Eagle. I do not want to drill holes in the roof if I don't have to. I was looking at a friend Westfalia and he has artificial gutters screwed to the side of his Westy that hold the racks. Using these Thule gutter pieces...

Hey Griz, I know know of four FWC's on the Island now. You, another guy in Victoria (Eagle on a newer Taco), and a guy somewhere on the South Island. I met him at a gas station in Ladysmith, and talked about his camper. He bought his Eagle from the FWC Canadian Import company. He said landed...

Thanks guys. I do like the fit on the truck. The Nissan Frontier comes with a mini roof rack with an air spoiler built onto the truck, and the camper has about a 3/4" gap between it and the rack to make it a real slick and give great wind deflection when driving. What a difference between the...

Hey Everyone, I have been lurking here for over a year reading up on FWC's and ATC"s and I finally made the move up to a FWC. I live in Victoria, BC, so finding a camper was not easy. I looked at a couple Grandby's and a Hawk, but I have a Nissan Frontier,so I needed a import size, Ranger or...
